Chris pledged Mu Upsilon Alpha, the Honorary, Co-Educational Service Fraternity of the Rutgers University Bands in Spring 2006. In 2007, he served on the Merger Committee which oversaw the merger of MYA and Mu Beta Psi, thus creating Pi Chapter. While at Rutgers, he served as Music Chair and President and performed with many of the concert and athletic ensembles on campus. Chris is also very active in the Alumni Association and will be completing his term as Vice President in July 2011. He holds a BM in Music Education from Rutgers University and is working toward his MM in Music Performance at Duquesne University. Though he is primarily a clarinetist, he enjoys playing many different instruments and singing as well. After graduation, he hopes to share his love of music through teaching in the educational system.

Garrett has worked with Mu Beta Psi in promoting music, service, and fellowship since 2006 and pledged in the Spring of 2007. He served as National President from 2009 to 2011 and has always been dedicated to the maintenance and progress of the Fraternity. While at SUNY Oswego, he worked tirelessly to help Nu Chapter; he held many offices including President, Chapter Maintenance Officer, Parliamentarian, and Webmaster. Musically, he was involved in College Choir, Festival Chorus, and The Boys Down the Hall men’s a cappella group. An English teacher by occupation, Garrett is currently in the graduate English program at the SUNY University at Buffalo.

Andrew Stephens

Andrew pledged Zeta Chapter in Fall 2002 with the BASSic Treble class. While at Zeta Chapter he chaired the Rushing, Scholarship and Music Committees, among others. He also played euphonium in the Michigan Tech Wind Symphony and the Huskies Pep Band, serving as the pep band's vice president in 2004-05. After transferring from Michigan Tech to Augsburg College in Minneapolis, he also played in the Augsburg Pep Band. Andrew graduated in spring 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He works as a historical interpreter at the Minnesota Historical Society, and lives in Circle Pines, MN.

Chris pledged at Zeta Chapter (Michigan Tech) in Fall 2009. During his time there, he served as Treasurer and MAL. His time on campus was spent participating in the Superior Wind Symphony, Huskies Pep Band, and jazz program. Chris will be graduating in Spring 2011 with a Computer Network and System Administration degree. He currently works on the Michigan Tech campus at the Center for Technology & Training as a system administrator and software engineer.

Jen pledged Omicron Chapter (Roanoke College) in Spring 2003 with the Gamma Pledge class. She was elected to the position of National Treasurer at the 2008 National Convention. Later that year, she married fellow Omicron alum Phillip Staten. They live with their son in Suffolk, VA, where Jen is a Financial Analyst for the National Institutes of Health Center for Information Technology.



National Historian (2007 - life tenure) Nathaniel Kulyk Xi Chapter Alum

Nathaniel pledged Xi Chapter (St. Vincent College) in Spring 2001, and served as Chapter Member-at-Large and Sergeant-at-Arms during his three years with the Chapter. He was also a member of the SVC Pep Band, the Saint Vincent Singers, and The Company. He earned his BA in History with a minor in Political Science in Spring 2004 and completed his MA in Public History at American University in the Summer of 2006. Prior to being elected as National Historian, he served as National Secretary from 2004-2007. He currently works as a Research Analyst for Deltek Information Solutions in Herndon, VA outside of Washington, DC. Nathaniel and his wife Melissa reside in Stone Ridge, VA with their son, Richard.

Haley Vingsness

Haley pledged Zeta Chapter (Michigan Technological University) in Fall 2006. While at Michigan Tech, she served as chapter president and was active in university theatre. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Scientific and Technical Communication in 2010. As a technical (rather than creative) writer, she produces informative pieces--documentation, proposals, magazines, newsletters--as well as as the Fraternity publication The Clef. Haley is currently a member of the Mu Beta Psi Alumni Association. She works as a web developer in Houghton, MI.

Kevin Britton

Contact Information

Kevin pledged Zeta Chapter (Michigan Tech) in the Fall of 1994 with the Dischords. While at Zeta, he served as Intramural Activity Chair, and as Chapter Treasurer. He also served as the Alumni Association President from 2001-2003. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from MTU, and a Master of Science in Engineering from Purdue University. After 12 years in the automotive industry, Kevin "changed gears" (pun intended), and is now a reliability engineer for Dow Corning. He resides in Saginaw, MI with his wife, Zeta alumna Jodi (Cianek) and their daughter Claire. Kevin "retired" from the webmaster position in 2011, but provides ongoing assistance and consultation on technical issues.
