Definition ==== - An extended event is defined for the purposes of this document as any Fraternity event that takes place over the course of multiple days. ==== Section 2. Host Expectations ==== - The time, location, and any other relevant details of any mandatory extended event must be communicated to the Brotherhood no less than two weeks prior to the event by the hosting committee, chair, or officer. - It is the responsibility of the hosting committee, chair, or officer to reserve a space for the event and provide any needed materials. - The hosting committee, chair, or officer must request any dietary restrictions from the Brotherhood and accommodate restrictions when planning meals. ==== Section 3. Brotherhood Expectations ==== - Brothers are required to notify the hosting committee, chair, or officer of an absence as soon as possible, unless stated otherwise in policy relevant to the event. - The hosting committee, chair, or officer must excuse Brothers if their absence is for academic reasons. ==== Section 4. General Guidelines ==== - The Risk Manager must be present for the duration of the event. - If an event is private, a Risk Management plant must be written for each event, by the date of the event. - If an event will be open to the public, a Risk Management plan must be completed before the event can be listed in Involvement Link ===== Article II - Specific Events ===== ==== Section 1. Lock-In ==== - Lock-In is required for all Active Brothers - Brothers are not required to spend the night at the Lock-In location - Brothers who do not spend the night must return to the Lock-In location by meeting time the next day - It is the responsibility of the Chapter Secretary to communicate to all Brothers when meeting will be called the next day - Lock-In shall be held before the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters - It is the responsibility of the Chapter Vice President to organize Executive Board meetings between semesters to plan Lock-In ==== Section 2.
