===== Alpha Chapter Public Relations Policy ===== //Fall 2019// - Duties of the Chair of the Public Relations Committee - Plan the regular Public Relations Committee meetings. - Delegate responsibilities to different Public Relations Committee members, as necessary. - Manage social media pages and ensure regular posts to the Alpha Chapter social media pages. - Post frequency is defined by the Chair of the Public Relations Committee at the beginning of each semester. - Inform the Active Brotherhood and Special Active Brotherhood at least seven (7) days before publicity events. - Larger events (events that require more than four (4) Brothers) require a two (2) week notification. - Responsibilities of the Public Relations Committee Members - Assist the Chair of the Public Relations Committee with their duties. - Perform tasks delegated by the Chair of the Public Relations Committee for publicity events. - Attend all Public Relations Committee meetings. - Up to four (4) unexcused absences are allowed. - Attendance may be excused by the Chair of the Public Relations Committee if they deem the excuse to be valid. - Each additional unexcused absence after four (4) unexcused absence will result in a fine of $1.00, payable to Alpha Chapter, to be collected by the Alpha Treasurer. - Publicity Events - Definition - A publicity event shall be defined as: - Any event that raises awareness of the activities of Mu Beta Psi - Any event that raises awareness of the activities of the NCSU Music Department, or - Any event that the Chair of the Public Relations Committee deem to be a publicity event. - Whether an event shall be considered a publicity event shall be left to the sole discretion of the Chair of the Public Relations Committee. - The service point value of publicity events shall be determined by the Service Coordinator and/or the Service Policy. - The Public Relations Committee shall be responsible for planning all special events and publicity events. - In the case of publicity events for Pledging, the Public Relations Committee shall work with the Pledging Committee to coordinate responsibilities for these publicity events. - Having representatives from the Public Relations Committee and the Pledging Committee shall satisfy this requirement if deemed fit. - The Public Relations Committee shall be responsible for at least three different (3) publicity events per semester. - Examples include: - Serving food in Price Music Center - Homecoming Week participation - Founder’s Day celebration
